Art in Kassel
Followed by masses of visitors the documenta 11 has opened its gates. For three months the city will become an international art metropole again. Scattered about all of Kassel is the project ´Multiple/Site Paintants` of the Argentinian artist Fabian Marcaccio. On his turn around the exhibition President Johannes Rau, who was accompanied by Chief of documenta, Okwui Enwezor, honoured the socialpolitical concept. Art, that does not want to act politically is not contemporary, he said. Much of it however was `very strange, a kind of art, one has to approach to very slowly.`"
