Welcome to the exhibition of Frauenmuseum Berlin at Pavillon am Milchberg, Berlin, in which I show one of my works.

For the third time the women- artist network Frauenmuseum Berlin investigates the theme of "walking". After exhibitions in Ebersberg (2021) and different places in Neuruppin( 2022) this year 25 women-artists of Frauenmuseum Berlin continue with the exhibition "In Bewegung , im Takt" which can be translated like "moving in time" at Pavillon im Milchhof.

As this title says, it is an examination of movement. During walking physical movements connect with the mental wanderings and through the rythm of walking concentration and the brain are encouraged. This is not only an insight of nowadays Neuroscience. Even in times of the Antique philosophers were convinced that walking intrigues thinking. It opens consciousness for incidental discoveries and meetings- in our environment as well as in our own thoughts. Rythm may approach different sensuals impressions. Certain rythms may invoke trance- like conditions, as with schamanistic practises or Techno-music.
The works of the exhibition are of great variation. The artists work with different techniques, media and materials- from painting to drawing and sculpture to video and istallation and performance.
Frauenmuseum Berlin is a non- profit association which functions as a network for professional women- artists living and working in Berlin. Since 2007 it is not based on a special location and is active in the realm of visual arts and regularly implementing exhibitions by contemporary women-artists.
